Success in Bringing Toys to Children on Christmas

King’s Day 2020…the day that the wise men gave their gifts to Jesus. In the Dominican Republic it is the day that the children receive their gifts. Another year of making sure many children received a gift…about 260 children to be exact, and it was priceless. It makes one want to do more and put smiles where there usually isn’t one. I can never do this alone! I am thankful for all who helped in any way this year… Daniela Duarte de Fernandez, Craig and Jane Fowler, Vista Sol Resort, Renny Avila and Renny Travel, Kevin Mikolash, DIVERTILANDIA Entertainment, the parish of Jesus Maestro Church Father Angel and Father Jorge, Dominica Garrah, Michael and Jenn Brace, the parents of Maggio Multicultural Academy, Elvira De Bellis, Miss Mel, Sabrina Shoufani Layos Dogme Leve and anyone else who made today the great success that it was. I hope the children sleep happily and peacefully tonight and may God Bless them!

The children are explaining why we celebrate and receive presents on this day. As it was the day that the 3 Magi Kings arrived in Bethlehem to bring gifts to baby Jesus.

Community Service Projects

Monte Verde and Anamuya

It is wonderful to be able to help those who want to give. This past October and November, two wonderful people gave me the opportunity to help them help children who are in need.

MONTE VERDE, D.R. – In October, Craig and Jane Fowler came here with a great quantity of school supplies that they wanted to give to children in need. Through a recommendation by a parent from the school, they were put into contact with me, and I was able to collaborate with Rod and Nancy from 2nd Mile Missions to bring these supplies to the children at a new school they are forming in Monte Verde. The following are pictures of the wonderful day we had!

ANAMUYA, D.R. – Then a lovely lady from Orlando, Margarita, came to me from a recommendation by a parent from the school also. With the foundations help and the help of the Fundacion Anamuya, we were able to get her many school supplies to the school in Anamuya.

Margarita is the woman standing 2nd in from the left.

Through God’s blessings and Divine Intervention, I continue His work everyday!

Every year the Maggio Multicultural Foundation in collaboration with other wonderful foundations, sponsors, parents of the school and community members provide gifts for children at Christmas time. Here in the Dominican Republic, children receive gifts on King’s Day January 6th, in Spanish known as El Día de los Reyes. Last year we managed to give a gift to over 200 children, and this year we would like to do the same! If you live in the Bávaro/Punta Cana area you can drop-off toys to Maggio Multicultural Academy or if you would like, you can make a monetary donation by clicking one of the donate buttons on the Humanitarian Efforts page. 100% of donations will go towards buying a gift in your name.
